There is a moment every year when the decorations come out of the box and the ones that belonged to someone else are still in there. This ornament is for that moment.

It carries up to three people on one birch ornament: a name in script lettering and, beneath it in gold, the year that belongs with it. Families who have lost both parents usually have to buy two separate ornaments and hang them apart. Here Mom and Dad hang together, and a grandparent can join them on the third line.

Two butterflies are printed at the top in blue and violet, above the words In Loving Memory. Everything is printed flat onto a 3.93 in birch plywood blank cut to the outline of the design, one side, with a drilled hole at the top for your own hook or ribbon. It is cut and printed in the United States after you order it.

Enter the first name and year in the boxes above; it prints in the center. A second name prints above it and a third below. Leave those lines blank if you are remembering one person.

• REMEMBER MORE THAN ONE PERSON ON ONE ORNAMENT: most memorial ornaments hold a single name, so a family that has lost both parents ends up with two of them. This one carries up to three, each with their own year, on a single birch ornament that hangs with the rest of the family's decorations.

The first name is required and prints in the center; the other two are optional and print above and below it, so a single name sits in the middle of the ornament. Names print in a script font, up to 30 characters on the top and center lines and 23 on the bottom line, with each year in gold beneath.
• WHAT ARRIVES: one printed birch ornament with a drilled hanging hole. No ribbon, hook or gift box is included, so nothing in the photographs is anything other than the ornament itself.
• TWO SIZES, SAME DESIGN: 3.93 in / 10 cm standard or 5 in / 12.7 cm large, chosen in the Customize window, both 0.2 in / 0.5 cm thick and cut from birch plywood to the outline of the design, printed on one side. The butterflies and lettering are printed level with the surface, so the ply grain stays visible through the lighter tones.
• MADE TO ORDER IN THE US: each piece is printed after you order it, from the wording you enter, so nothing is printed before it is needed. Wipe it with a dry cloth, and between seasons store it flat or hanging rather than pressed under heavier decorations.
