Baby's First Christmas Ornament 2026

Most years are just years. This one is the year a baby arrived in your family, and it is also a year the whole country has spent looking back to 1776. Next December that baby will not remember either - so something on the tree has to.

This ornament holds both. A navy band of stars and a red and cream striped swag run across the top of a birch round, and beneath the words Baby's First Christmas sits the name you type in large script - Olivia Grace, Theodore, Mateo James - with the birth date printed in red below it. A small navy banner reads 1776 and 2026 above a little gold bell.

Grandparents send it for the first grandchild, new parents hang it on their own tree the week the decorations come down from the attic, and friends bring it to a December baby shower instead of another outfit that will not fit by spring. The outfit gets outgrown. This comes back out of the box every year, and one day it goes onto a tree of their own.

Birch plywood, 3.93 inches (10 cm) across, UV printed flat on one side, with a small hanging hole at the top. It comes without a ribbon or box, and each one is printed to order from the name and date you enter.

• IN THE PARCEL: One round wooden ornament with a small hanging hole at the top, printed with the design and the name and date you typed. It comes on its own - no ribbon, hook, card or gift box, and the banner in the photographs is printed - so add a ribbon or hook of your own to hang it.
• SIZE AND MATERIAL, HONESTLY: Birch plywood, 3.93 in / 10 cm across and 0.2 in / 0.5 cm thick, or 5 in / 12.7 cm across in the large size. The design is UV printed flat onto the wood: the stars, stripes, banner and bell are printed colour, not glass, enamel, layered wood or carving.
• MADE TO ORDER AND CARE: Each ornament is printed after the order is placed, from the name and birth date typed at checkout, so please check the spelling before ordering. Between seasons, wipe it with a dry soft cloth and store it flat, away from damp and direct sunlight.
